The ISAN biennial conference is the must-attend event for all those who work in outdoor arts, from artists, producers and programmers through to representatives from local authorities, venues, strategic initiatives and national funding bodies.

This year, we are excited to announce that ISAN is partnering with the Hull UK City of Culture Team and Hull & East Yorkshire Conferences to bring you the 2015 National Outdoor Arts Conference: a lively mix of presentations, workshops, debate, discussion and networking led by ISAN’s new Executive Director, Angus MacKechnie.  Plus, the popular Ideas Summit where delegates will have the opportunity to present ideas for artistic projects and come away with new collaborators and partners for 2016 and beyond.

Please mark your calendars now with the following dates:

Tuesday 24 & Wednesday 25 November 2015

Announced as the next UK City of Culture, Hull is preparing to host a spectacular programme of artistic excellence and events on a scale never before seen in the city. Join us to hear the latest in plans and opportunities and discover ways to become directly involved in advance of Hull 2017.

Two and a half hours from London by train, our venue partner, Hull Truck Theatre, provides an innovative space with state of the art conference facilities. The dinner and drinks reception will be hosted by The Deep, one of the most spectacular aquariums in the world, with delegates seated alongside the sharks for their evening meal! With 8 free museums, high street and independent shopping, and the beautiful architecture of the Old Town there’s plenty for delegates to see and do during their free time. Be sure to visit Hull’s emerging arts scene which can be found in the Fruit Market district of the city, its refurbishment is due to be revealed in November 2015.

Conference tickets will be on sale from mid July, but we encourage you to secure your accommodation as early as possible. ISAN have been working with Hull & East Yorkshire Conferences to provide an accommodation booking website for delegates with rooms to suit every budget. Allocations of bedrooms have been specially negotiated with local hotels to ensure a fixed price right up until the start of the conference. All prices include breakfast and rooms can be cancelled for free until 2pm on the day of arrival.

On behalf of the ISAN Executive Team and Board of Directors, we look forward to seeing you there!
