Elevate Masterclass: Mobile Power for Costumes and Makes back to all events
With Rob Hill
Workshop held at Cobden Works, 37-41 Cobden Street, Salford, M6 6WF
We will look at simple, low cost, creative solutions to lighting sculptural images, lanterns, costumes and environments outdoors and in portable situations. We will explore different battery and power options to make sure you don’t go dark halfway through your show, and why there’s always a better option than ‘bunging a few fairy lights in it’…!
Rob has been working in Theatre, Community and Outdoor Arts now for over 25 years. Starting in Production Management, finding creative solutions to artistic and practical problems, he has gained a wide range of skills including Set and technical Prop making, Production and Project management, Music and Soundtrack work and of course lighting design. Although having worked extensively in traditional and touring Theatre, his main interest lies in outdoor and installation work, using portable, low voltage and bespoke lighting solutions.
Cost includes materials.
This workshop has been subsidised by Arts Council England and spaces are limited.
Two free places are available to individuals who would not be able to attend otherwise. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org making a case for why you need a bursary.
